Sidestory is a new start-up travel company that runs what it calls ‘curated, immersive experiences’ led by different experts in a particular city. After contacting me, we worked hard on the tricky task of coming up with the idea for a food-related walking tour of one part of London. As I was really keen to include something that highlighted some of the amazing producers here, as well as street food markets and restaurants, we settled on Bermondsey, which has a long history of food trade and production, and plays host to all sorts of exciting makers.
The resulting Sidestory tour is called ‘New British foods: Discover the food producers, restaurants and delicious street vendors that constitute the heart of what British food is today’ and it’s bookable for up to 6 people (the cheaper it is, the more of that book).
